Lawngtlai, the 24th March, 2021: World Tuberculosis (TB) Day was observed today at DC Conference Hall, Lawngtlai as organised by National TB Elimination Programme, District TB Centre, Lawngtlai.

The observance chaired by Dr LP Malsawma, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Lawngtlai District was graced by Pu V. Lalruatliana, Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar), Lawngtlai  as a Chief Guest.

In the function, Pu James Zarzoliana, Senior Treatment Supervisor gave a performance & achievement report while Pu H. Vanlalpeka, District DR-TB & TB-HIV Coordinator gave a presentation. A TB champion Bethsy L. Chinzah gave her testimony on her treatment under RNTCP. The programme was concluded by District PPM Coordinator Pu K. Lalnunsanga with a vote of thanks.

This year's theme for World TB Day is: "The clock is ticking". The observance was attended by ASHAs and anganwadi workers within Lawngtlai town, and staff of MSACS, NCD and NTCP.
